Alfred State celebrates Homecoming

“We had a ton of events from football games to talent shows to wrestling open practice. You name it and we had it this weekend. It is amazing to have people come to campus to see the great things going on here. September 11: Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance

On Sept. 11, 2001, almost 3,000 people lost their lives during the attacks at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. Twenty-two years later, Alfred State continues to honor these victims and their families. We also remember the heroic efforts of first responders who endangered their lives answering the call.

Thank you for providing hands-on education in and out of the classroom. Our students are learning real world skills as they prepare to become the next generation of workers and leaders.

Former ASC College Council Chair Pat Fogarty passes away

“My life and those of thousands of Alfred State College students, faculty, and staff are all richer having been influenced and inspired by the life’s work of Pat Fogarty. For more than three decades, it has been her vision and desire to help others that catapulted Alfred State, Allegany County, and all of Western New York forward as she took a genuine interest in helping those in need, finding ways to improve their lives and empower generations to take the next step to a brighter future.” Dr. Steve Mauro.
