Five employees were honored recently with Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Faculty Service, Professional Service, Teaching, and Classified Service.
In addition to being an Alfred State faculty member, Jess is also a family nurse practitioner, a member of her local fire and emergency services department, an adviser to the Hope for Health Club, and so much more. She eagerly gives of her time, talents, and knowledge to so many others, touching lives and making a positive change wherever she goes.
“I pursued this course work for many reasons, perhaps most importantly being that I accept my responsibility of positively influencing the level of inclusion we strive for at Alfred State,” Sammons said.
Reflecting on earning her CMA, Chase said, “I feel accomplished to finally have some recognition for all of my career experience in the field. I really enjoyed taking a deep dive into the academic portion of managerial accounting.”
“When the opportunity came along to work at Alfred State, it seemed like the perfect fit,” he said. “I could take the experience that I had in the industry, that started with my degree from Alfred State, and pass it along to the next generation of students that are working toward being technicians themselves.”
