Thanksgiving - 2024

As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we share. This season is a perfect time to appreciate the power of gratitude and the joy that comes from being together.

Hurd leads ASC Pioneers to High Point honors in season opener

Abigail Hurd (Belmont, NY) rode to High Point Rider honors for the Alfred State Western Equestrian team in PM show of their season opener. She led the team to High Point honors in the afternoon after the team finished as Reserve High Point in the morning show.

Jordan Henry goes above and beyond for the dogs

“Jordan truly cares for these animals. The new enrichment tools are great for our animals. She continues to give our animals extra love and attention.” Julie Abbey

Humphrey Fellows visit Alfred State

“Coordinating this visit and engaging with the CALS Humphrey Fellows is a highlight for me every year. I am always left inspired and encouraged by the exchanges that happen between our campus and the Fellows and am incredibly grateful to our campus partners and the CALS Humphrey Fellow leadership team that help me keep this collaboration strong.”  Cyan Corwine

Alfred State recognized as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting

“I am grateful for the collective efforts it took to bring valuable resources and programming to our student body! We are very fortunate to have student advocates, supportive administrators, and collaborative faculty, staff, and community partners to do this work alongside.”  Cyan Corwine

Alfred State exceeds goal in annual Day of Giving

“It was a great Day of Giving. On behalf of everyone here at Alfred State, we thank all our donors, whether they are alumni or friends of the college and our students for getting involved. This day could not have happened without all of you.”  John Lewis

English and Humanities host pair of events

“Because we often focus on campus issues, the public debate event is not only a venue for students to hone their public speaking skills through real-world experience, but also an opportunity for faculty and administrators to hear and respond to student voices on contentious issues of academic policy.” Nicholas Stefanski

Trio of Pioneers receive Bob Pahl Sketching Awards

“The students did an excellent job growing their skills with their sketching. They had the opportunity to sketch amazing places in Sorrento and in a variety of places along their travels throughout Europe. I am proud of them and congratulate our three honorees.”   William Dean

Alfred State Day of Giving is Nov. 21

“It is amazing day to see so many people come together to support Alfred State, our students, and the goals of the college. I look forward to this day and I am excited to see the impact this year’s Day of Giving will have.” Jason Sciotti
