Grant Received to Fund Student Service

Alfred State has been awarded a competitive grant through the AmeriCorps Education Award Program (EAP) of the New York Campus Compact. The grant will be used to support the recruitment of college students to volunteer in their communities—helping to increase the capacity of local nonprofit organizations and schools, and meeting critical community-defined needs. Upon successful completion of 300 hours or more of service, students are eligible to receive a $1,175 Education Award to be applied toward outstanding federal student loans or the cost of attendance at Alfred State.
