Alfred State construction management student wins national scholarship

Hunter DeJonge, an Alfred State construction management student from Clifton Springs, was recently named the recipient of the Reilly Family Memorial Scholarship by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA).

Six new members inducted into Alfred State chapter of Sigma Lambda Chi construction management honor society

Dr. John Williams, dean of Alfred State’s School of Architecture, Management, and Engineering Technology, recently helped induct six new members into the Zeta V Chapter of the Sigma Lambda Chi (SLC) international construction management honor society at Alfred State.

Archery Team brings home eight medals

Coach Greg Sammons was proud of the team, noting, “This is the single biggest haul of medals we’ve brought home from one event. We will be closely watching the three remaining venues as archer Jay Lawrence prepares himself for the Indoor Final in Louisville.” 

Alfred State College earns 2020-2021 Military Friendly® School Designation

Alfred State was one of only 18 colleges in New York State honored with the silver-level distinction or higher. This signifies that Alfred State is a school that scored within 20 percent of the 10th-ranking school in its category.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor emeritus of psychology at Alfred State College, is the author of an article that appears in the most recent issue of Paperback Parade, a quarterly publication for paperback readers and collectors. The article is titled “Revisiting Peyton Place.”

Hayano, an interdisciplinary studies major from Osaka, Japan, was able to attend the event because she was named a Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow for 2019-20.
