“I thought I made the right decision at first. I was at a different college, and I just was not happy. I did not feel like I fit in, and I had friends that went to Alfred State and whenever I was on this campus I just felt like I belonged. There was always something to do.”

“It feels amazing to be named a SUNY EOP ambassador. It is a great opportunity to grow as a person. More importantly, I am honored to represent the program that changed my life and help others do the same.”

“The best part of my job is the enjoyment that I create for the guest. A usual day starts with me working as a ticket taker at one of the seven gates of entry. Once the game starts, I move on to my job as a guest services representative in one of the exclusive clubs, like the M&T Club, for the rest of the game.”
Nick Valentino
“My mom came to Alfred State for nursing. It is close to home, and I love how beautiful it is. You can go hiking on the trails and there are events every day of the week.”
Hailee Drake
“My favorite part of the experience was working with the guys and experiencing a different side of sports. I was thrown into the fire and had to act quickly in many different situations for the first time. I learned about what goes on behind the scenes and had opportunities to collaborate with the local high school choir, Dansville Special Olympics, and many local businesses.”
Jenna George
“Being a leader in and out of the classroom was important to me and helped me get my first break in sports. I also learned accountability and how to expand my network while I was at Alfred.”
