“I have enjoyed cars since a young age. They always have been part of my life.”
As an automotive technician major, Anthony loves what and how he is learning at Alfred State. “I really like working hands-on. I like the program because of how serious they take it. I take a lot of skills out of here to work on the weekends. Every part of every day I am learning something new.”
Anthony and his classmates spend approximately four hours a day in the lab and an hour and a half in the classroom. “We bring our classroom knowledge into the lab. Without the classroom we wouldn’t be able to do our lab work. Most of the time the classroom time is brief and informative. When you get in the lab you can do all your work.”
“I have built a lot of confidence with the curriculum. It is very intense; we learn a lot here. It is very rewarding work.”
Anthony wants to be happy and enjoy the work he does. “This program has helped me understand that I really enjoy this type of work.”
Coming to Alfred State has put Anthony on the road to success.
