Basic Weld Methods (Microcredential)

Students will be introduced to welding techniques and processes related to basic service for construction vehicles and heavy equipment. This course covers safety protocols, stick and MIG welding, and cutting and heating techniques.

• Online Lecture (10 Hours, Self-Paced) | May 9 - May 16, 2025
• On-Campus Lab (20 Hours) | May 21, May 22, & May 23 from 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

• Stick and MIG welding
• Plasma cutting
• Welding safety start-up and shut-down procedures
• Introduction to oxyacetylene cutting/welding/heating processes
• Maintenance & inspection of gas welding equipment
